ASM Opioid Forum

7:30 – 10:30 AM | Hilton Garden Inn, Waltham

In August 2018 the Massachusetts Department of Public Health relased a report that found construction workers accounted for more than 24% of all opioid-related deaths from 2011-2015. The trend has continued in more recent years. These findings highlight the need for discussion, education, and communication about what companies can do to reverse the trend.

Join ASM for a special seminar dedicated to the opioid crisis in construction. Hear from our expert speakers on what you should know as an employer about the opioid epidemic. Our speakers include a research and policy expert with Institute for Behavioral Health at Brandeis University, representatives from some of the major health insurance companies in Massachusetts, and expert staff at a local treatment center.

You will learn:

  • Update from the State on efforts to curb opioid abuse
  • Overview of how health insurance coverage works
