Joseph M. Corwin Pinnacle Award

Recognizing outstanding or lifetime achievements in support of subcontractors

The Joseph M. Corwin Pinnacle Award was created in honor of its first recipient, who has often been called the father of construction law in Massachusetts.

Joe Corwin helped lay the foundation of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts in November 1950 with a small group of subcontractors. For more than fifty years, he remained a strong advocate for subcontractors, fighting to educate general contractors, owners and public officials to the problems of subcontractors in the industry. In recognition of his endless dedication, the Association in 1995 established the Joseph M. Corwin Lifetime Achievement Award, to be presented to individuals who have shown leadership and dedication to the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts and the subcontracting industry.
